Assassin's Creed Valhalla

On December 6, 2022, The Last Chapter will be released, the last DLC of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla which will end the game’s support, which lasted for two whole years. The announcement came from Ubisoft itself on its official blog:

The post begins by recalling the launch of the huge success of the game, capable of reaching more than twenty million players: “Assassin’s Creed Valhalla came out in November 2020 and allowed players to experience a Viking adventure in 9th century England as Eivor, alongside the Raven clan. Together with you, over 20 million players have lived this experience with us.”

Then some of the contents are remembered of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: “Eivor has allowed us to travel far and wide over the past two years. In the first year of post-launch, our goal has been to expand the storyline of Valhalla and offer new game content to the community. With Wrath of the Druids, you’ve explored a beautiful yet haunted Ireland, so Mastery Challenges have tested your talents, River Raids have given you raids, and Graves of the Fallen have given you mysteries and puzzles to solve In Ravensthorpe, we celebrated the arrival of the new seasons together with the holidays of Yule, Ostara, Sigrblot and Oskoreia. In The Siege of Paris, you traveled across France challenging King Charles himself and taking part in one of the most famous Viking battles. You deepened your knowledge of Vikings and Norse mythology with Discovery Tour: Viking Age and then, in December, you met Kassandra in the Assassin’s Creed Crossover Stories.”

Then we talk about Dawn of Ragnarok, a full-bodied expansion released in the second year of the game: “In the second year, our most ambitious and full-bodied addition to the world of Valhalla came out. In Dawn of Ragnarok we explored the world of Svartalfheim, Niflheim was added to with the release of The Forgotten Saga. As you journeyed to new worlds with Odin, we also expanded Eivor’s reach in England with new additions to the Settlement as well as the final chapters of Challenge of Mastery and of Graves of the Fallen. We’ve given our all to enable you to write your own Viking saga, explore the worlds of Valhalla, and chart your own path as Eivor in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.”

Finally, some details about The Last Chapter are revealed: “On December 6, our last game content update for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be released, thus closing two fantastic years of post-launch support. Game update 1.6.2 will include truly exciting new content, including The Last Chapter, an intimate and touching ending to the Eivor saga.

The epilogue will untie some of the remaining knots in the plot, it will be a worthy conclusion to all the time you have spent together with the Raven clan!”

To access the contents of the DLC, it will be necessary to have completed some parts of the base game, listed by Ubisoft itself:

  • Complete the main story by starting negotiations with all territories in England
  • Complete the mythological stories of Asgard and Jotunheim
  • Upgrade your settlement to level 5 and build the Viking barracks of Jomsborg
  • Eliminate all the Order of the Ancients targets and discover the identity of the leader
